My heart is breaking with disappointment after reading articles about men of influence, even pastors, accused of sexual immorality or relieved of their leadership positions after years of faithful service in their communities. A mother knows before men are leaders, they are sons. These fallen leaders are sons too and maybe raised sons of their own. Our sons need our guidance and leaders need our prayers. I am reminded of the words of King Lemuel’s mother in Proverbs 31:1-3

Celebrating Juneteenth
As an elementary school student my son came home and articulated his frustration with the lack of diversity presented in American history.
